GENERAL INFORMATION
GNM COURSE is recognised by Indian Nursing Council [INC], Karnataka State Nursing Council [KNC] and Karnataka State Diploma in Nursing Examination Board [KSDNEB] with an intake of 45 seats. I have attached a GO copy. The General Nursing & Midwifery Training Programme shall be for Three Years duration. There will be a preliminary training period of three months. An examination to assess the students' ability to continue training will be held at the end of three months in addition to other periodic assessments. Only successful students will be allowed to continue the training.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Age for entrance shall be 17 years of age before the 31st of December 2021 to 35 years.
- Admission open for both Male and female candidates.
- Minimum Qualification: Should have passed XII standard with Science or Non-Science & English with an aggregate of 50% marks.
- Ability to read, write and speak English is essential as all classes are conducted in English.
- Candidates should be medically fit.
- Students are admitted provisionally pending approval by the concerned boards (Board of Nursing Education South India Branch, Nurses' League, Christian Medial Association of India & Karnataka State Nursing Council)
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
All applications must be made on the prescribed form obtainable from the Principal, School of Nursing, Church of South India Hospital, Bangalore 560051 on a non-refundable payment of Rs.200/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) by cash or a crossed DD in favor of C.S.I. Hospital, Bangalore 560051.

Kindly contact the office for admission dates and other details. The last date for issuing application form and prospectus and to receive completed/filled applications will be announced.
Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply, provided they produce the Original Marks Sheet / Pass Certificate at the time of selection.
All applicants meeting the minimum standard will be called for the Entrance Examination. The candidates will be informed Under Certificate of Posting and by the Notice Board at the School of Nursing and Hospital. The School of Nursing is not responsible for the non-receipt of the letter by post. However, applicants can telephone to find out the status of their application.

Completed application forms must be sent along with the registration fee of Rs. 250/- (One Hundred and Fifty Only) in the form of a crossed demand draft drawn in favor of "CSI Hospital, Bangalore" along with copies of the following certificates, so as to reach the Principal, School of Nursing, CSI Hospital, Bangalore - 560051. Incomplete applications will be rejected. Do not enclose original certificates.
- Two sets of photocopies of SSLC and PLUS2 (or equivalent) certificates (attested by a gazetted officer). The candidate should submit certificate of verification of the authenticity and genuineness of mark certificate from the examination board for 10th standard & Pre-University.
- Copies of certificates of other educational qualification, if any.
- Transfer certificate from the School / College last attended.
- Two Certificates of Conduct. One from from the Head of High School & Second from Church Pastor. In case of non-christian from a reputable citizen.
- Autobiography, including reasons for choosing nursing and future plans.
- Medical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner.
- Six passport size photographs recently taken.
- Stamped self addressed envelope 9"x4"
The candidate's application number must be written on all enclosures and correspondence.
Declaration must bear the signature of the candidate and her parent/guardian.
Unless all these conditions are fully complied with, the application will be rejected.
All information given in the application form should be correct. Any false information or suppression of any factual information in the application will result in in a disqualification. The candidate is liable to lose her seat if at any time during the course of the training it is found that false information has been furnished or factual information suppressed. She will also be liable for legal action as permitted by law.
The Diploma course in General Nursing and Midwifery shall be of three years duration. The course of study prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council and the Board of Nursing Education, South India Branch, Christian Medical Association of India is followed.
- Annual Fees must be paid on the day of selection which is NON-REFUNDABLE. The fee structure is enclosed the the bottom of the page. The fees are to be paid only at the Cash Counter of CSI Hospital, Bangalore. The receipt should be kept safe and produced whenever necessary.
- Annual Fees for the 2nd & 3rd year students should be paid by August 30th of each academic year.
- If breakages, medical bills and loss exceeds the deposit amount paid, the difference will have to be paid by the student.
