The School of Nursing is one of the earliest established School for Nursing in Bangalore. Enabling trained nursing care with compassion for patients and developing a talent pool of Hospitals.
Who we are
The School of Nursing was Established in the year 1950 with the Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery with the intake of 35 students. Our School of Nursing is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and The Karnataka State Nurses and Midwives Council, Bangalore and approved by Christian Medical Association of India Board of Nursing Education [CMAI BNE] Our vision and mission is to prepare competent, dedicated and skilled nurses for the society and the nation.
Courses offered
General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)
Our courses aim to care for the sick, irrespective of status and without discrimination as to caste, creed and colour. The student develops knowledge of the factors governing health with a view of prevention of diseases.
Facilities
The School of Nursing is situated in Cantonement area of Bengaluru close to the Railway Station. The facilities include hostel and canteen. Safety of the students is of primary importance and the hostel is situated within the Hospital Campus.
Health Services
Students undergo a medical checkup on admission and every year thereafter. Students are immunized against infectious diseases as and when necessary.
Accomodation and Boarding
Accommodation and Boarding will be provided for the students in the Student Nurses Hostel. All students must strictly abide by the Hostel Rules.
Extra Curricular Activities
The students are encouraged to participate in various Student Nurses Association activities such as sports, entertainment programmes and competitions.
Social Life
Students are encouraged to participate in social and community affairs that are permitted/entertained programmes and competitions.

The faculties are well experienced, adequate and skilled in medical field; they are more dedicated to the teaching field and special attention given to the students and special care received from our Principal.
